At NOLA Nature School, the city’s natural wonders are our most inspiring classrooms- spaces where nature threads its magic through the ever-changing urban tapestry that is our beloved Crescent City!

Each day unfolds as an adventure: climbing trees on shaded trails, marveling at fields of wildflowers, tracing the graceful flight of birds, or watching turtles glide through water. Sometimes, we even find ourselves holding our breath in awe as alligators bask in the golden afternoon light.

Our school building, lovingly called The Nest, is our own slice of natural wonder- a little building on a big corner lot that we transformed from an empty parking lot into a lush haven where we begin and end our week. Here, we weave together the stories of our time spent in wilder spaces, nurturing our connection to nature through frequent reflection, gardening, harvesting, cooking, and, most importantly, the joyous art of play.

As a community, we nurture curiosity, creativity, & connection- planting the seeds of discovery and tending to the shared moments that help us bloom & grow with each season that passes by!
